WELCOME TO KNYPERSLEY FIRST SCHOOL

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you and your child to Knypersley First School. Education is one of the most important experiences of your child’s life and I must begin by assuring you that it is seen as the highest priority by both myself and my staff.

Knypersley is a happy and caring school where we aim to ensure that every child is valued and can realise their potential within a safe and purposeful atmosphere.

Children at Knypersley begin their learning journey by developing skills of self worth, confidence, respect, tolerance and independence and are encouraged to become self reliant, responsible, highly motivated and well disciplined learners, all skills required to become young adults in modern Britain, hence our mission statement

Our curriculum aims to broaden the experiences of our children from which we can enthuse and capture the interests and imaginations of them all. We challenge them to think creatively, participate with excitement and develop positive attitudes and high expectations towards learning.

Knypersley is very much a community school, we genuinely value a partnership between home and school so that we can work together for the benefit of your children and to raise standards. We believe that parental interest, encouragement and support are vital to a child’s development and happiness. We also value the relationships we have forged with other local schools. We have formalised our partnership with Kingsfield First School, Reginald Mitchell Primary School and Oxhey First school by joining the Children First Learning Partnership Multi Academy Trust on 1st April 2019.  We believe by doing so it will offer further opportunities to work collaboratively on a wide range of projects involving our staff, children, local advisory board members and parents, add capacity to our school leadership, research provision and provide financial efficiencies.

The information provided on this website can only give a brief glimpse of what our well resourced school can offer. I would like to invite you to come and see for yourself during the working school day. If you require further information or have issues that you would like to discuss do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Yours sincerely

Busy Bees have been reading the book ‘The Christmas Pine’. Our word of the week is ‘Tradition’. We have been learning what the word tradition means. The children have been talking about Christmas traditions that they do at home. We are getting into the Christmas spirit!!!🎄🎁🎅🏻

Today in Green Ambassador Club we placed our home made bird feeders in various places around our school community for the birds over the winter. Well done children, you did a great job!
