Remote Education Information – Knypersley First School
At Knypersley First School, our aim is to ensure that learning continues smoothly for every child if they are unable to attend school due to exceptional circumstances. Our remote education offer is designed to be accessible, manageable for families, and aligned with the curriculum children would normally follow in school.
Remote education will be provided when a child is well enough to learn but unable to attend, for example during short‑term closures, individual isolation, or exceptional circumstances agreed with school.
Our remote education offer includes:
- A continuation of the planned curriculum, matched as closely as possible to in‑school learning so children do not miss key knowledge or skills.
- Daily learning activities across core subjects, with clear explanations, modelling and examples to support understanding.
- A blend of online and offline tasks, ensuring all children can access learning regardless of device availability.
- Use of familiar platforms, such as Evidence Me or printed learning packs where needed.
- Regular communication with teachers, including feedback on learning and opportunities for children to ask questions or share work.
- Support for pupils with SEND, including adapted resources, visual supports, and personalised guidance to ensure learning remains accessible.
- Safeguarding and wellbeing checks, where appropriate, to ensure children remain safe, supported and connected to school.
Parents and carers can support remote learning by maintaining routines, encouraging engagement, and contacting school if they need help accessing materials or require additional support. We recognise that every family’s circumstances are different, and we will work flexibly with you to ensure your child continues to thrive.
If you have any questions about our remote education offer, or if your child requires support to access learning from home, please contact the school office or speak to your child’s class teacher. We are here to help.
