WELCOME TO KNYPERSLEY FIRST SCHOOL

Welcome to Knypersley First School!

A very warm welcome to our school website.

At Knypersley First School, we are proud to provide a happy, caring and stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. We believe that the early years of education lay the foundations for future success, and we are committed to nurturing confident, curious, and kind learners.

Our school motto, “Learning together, learning for life,” is at the heart of everything we do. It reflects our belief that education is a shared journey—between children, staff, families, and the wider community—and that the skills and values we foster here will stay with our children long beyond their time with us.

What makes Knypersley truly special is not only our strong sense of community and care, but also the exceptional facilities we offer. Our onsite swimming pool gives every child the opportunity to gain water confidence and vital swimming skills. Our inspiring Forest School area supports outdoor exploration, creativity, and resilience. And our fully equipped cookery suite allows children to develop practical life skills while learning about health, nutrition, and teamwork.

We are also proud to be part of the Children First Learning Partnership, a collaborative trust of like-minded schools working together to ensure the very best outcomes for every child. Through this partnership, our pupils benefit from shared learning experiences, enrichment activities, and wider opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. Our staff also enjoy high-quality professional development and the chance to work alongside colleagues across the trust, sharing expertise and innovation to continually improve teaching and learning.

Our passionate and experienced team work tirelessly to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every child feels valued and supported. We are proud of the warm, welcoming atmosphere that visitors often comment on, and the strong relationships we build with our families.

Whether you are already part of our school family or looking to join us, I hope this website gives you a glimpse of what makes Knypersley such a special place to learn and grow. If you would like to find out more or arrange a visit, please don’t hesitate to get in touch—we’d be delighted to welcome you.

Yours sincerely,

Miss L Leese - Head of School

Mrs L Jukes - Executive Headteacher

Busy Bees have been learning about a new artist this afternoon. We have been learning about Andy Goldsworthy, who makes sculptures from natural resources. We have collaborated in a pair, to recreate a sculpture like Andy Goldsworthy. We have used logs, sticks, pebbles, leaves, shell and flowers. We have some very creative Busy Bees!
